The Senior RF Engineer will be responsible for all system engineering and project management for the Product Development team. There will be particular emphasis on radio frequency (RF), digital, and analog product development. This includes design, development, test, and manufacturing support of RF communications equipment including: navigation receivers, transponders, emergency location beacons, and similar hardware that are designed to meet the stringent performance requirements in land, marine, and aviation markets. This role will be required to support the growth of the business by leading the innovative design of new products and by driving the continuous improvement of existing products and processes.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: ? Initiate, plan, and execute product programs to assure on-time delivery to our customers ? Develop the functional/performance specification, block diagram, architecture, and similar for new radio frequency product or for improving existing product ? Provide reports on the status of project milestones and adjust schedules accordingly ? Assign and oversee project personnel to specific phases or aspects of project such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing ? Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, regulatory requirements, and related specifications ? Contribute to product verification and validation testing in accordance to design standards such as MIL-STD-810, DO-160, DO-254, DO-178B, and C/S T.007 ? Coordinate activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems ? Evaluate and approve design changes, specifications, and drawing releases ? Detailed design and simulation of circuits including, but not limited to: receivers, transmitters, mixers, filters, synthesizers and similar for VHF/UHF applications ? Contribute to the schematic capture and layout of printed circuit assemblies from the detailed design ? Work with software and digital design staff on system architecture, system partitioning, and system/derived requirements ? Work with other Integrated Product Development team members for new product concept development, systems engineering, and feasibility studies, design for manufacturability, and design for testability

Required / Desired Knowledge, Experiences and Skills: ? 5+ years of RF engineering work experience ? Background in avionics or marine electronics a plus ? Lean product development experience a plus Education/Certifications: ? Bachelor-s degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master-s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred ?
