Chewy Senior Business Analyst in Dania Beach, Florida
Chewy is looking for an analytical, curious and passionate Senior Business Analyst to join our Continuous Improvement and Analytics team.
This team is responsible for collecting, benchmarking and analyzing data across the end-to-end value stream, surfacing key insights, developing metrics, and leading medium to large scale process improvement and business transformation projects across the organization that have an impact on the customer experience.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for analyzing large data sets and synthesizing insights by leveraging complex statistical analysis methods. This individual will play a key role in influencing senior business leaders and core process owners toward data-driven strategic decisions while keeping the customer at the center of each decision. On this team, the Sr. Business Analyst will be looked upon to help project harvest and fill the pipeline with medium to large scale opportunities that lead to revenue generation, cost efficiencies, significant quality improvements and most importantly customer experience optimization. Lastly, this thought leader will work cross-functionally and support core functional areas like Customer Service, Merchandising, Supply Chain and Support Services (e.g. Human Resources and Finance).
What you’ll do:
Leverage large data sets (i.e. millions of rows of data) to surface actionable insights that help transform the strategic direction of the business
Use both “scrappy” approaches and known statistical data analysis methods to feed the continuous improvement pipeline with opportunities to pursue revenue generation, cost efficiencies, quality improvements and customer experience optimization
Design experiments and tests to determine the impact that different variables (critical x’s) and behaviors have on a given output (y) and determine if there is statistical significance to the results
Help process owners and key stakeholders in understanding the key drivers (i.e. inputs) of their core processes, subject matter areas and strategic decisions
Engage and influence senior business leaders across the organization in functional areas like Customer Service, Merchandising, Supply Chain and Support Services (e.g. Human Resources and Finance)
Mentor entry level business analysts
What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Math, Economics, Finance, Operations Management, Operational Research, Statistics, Supply Chain or a related quantitative degree.
3+ years of experience with performing quantitative analytical research and complex data analysis
Experience with executing complex data analysis including correlation analysis, hypothesis testing and regression modeling to draw conclusions or surface insights
Proficiency with Statistical Software tools like Minitab, SAS, SPSS and/or R and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Comfort level with working with large data sets (i.e. millions of rows of data)
Ability to write SQL queries to perform data collection and mining
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to partner with various levels of leadership within the organization
Ability to travel 20% of the time
Master’s degree in Math, Economics, Finance, Operational Research, Statistics or a related quantitative degree.
Six Sigma Certification (Green or Black), PMP Certification or equivalent
Prior e-commerce, retail or technology experience
